Vice President of Medical Affairs – Virtual

Vice President of Medical Affairs – The Vice President of Medical Affairs will provide leadership for veterinary and medical marketing to develop the go-to-market strategy for the business. The incumbent will lead technical projects, research, participate in KOL development and lead the medical review of educational and promotional materials for new innovation and products and services.

This position requires a high level of business and technical expertise and this individual will be strategically leveraged to provide education to veterinary hospitals and to the sales organization. This is a collaborative role, working in a fast-paced environment with stakeholders across multiple regions as well as external.

The incumbent will be a leader in the commercial team providing strategic input into marketing and will provide medical expertise to the commercial team. The incumbent will contribute input on product design and development including clinical studies, analysis and interpretation and will proactively identify solutions to meet unmet needs to the commercial business.

The VP will create technical and medical content, design, develop and deliver content and training materials to educate veterinarians, veterinary practices and customer facing commercial teams. Other responsibilities include translating medical content to a non-clinical audience in a customer-centric way, serve on customer focused teams, track industry trends and changes in the marketplace, maintain a working knowledge of products and the competitors and identifying medically relevant responses to marketing position.

Qualifications include: DVM degree, advanced degree or board certification preferred, 8+ years of experience in the Veterinary industry, experience with diagnostics, strategic thinker who understands the business and changing priorities, results oriented, excellent public speaker, ability to travel overnight as required, proficient with Microsoft Office.
