This position requires a strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and leadership. Our Medical Director is responsible for all aspects of patient care, including wellness and preventative protocols, surgery, dentistry, pathology, and pharmacology. This position works in tandem with our long-term management team (Practice Administrator, Office Manager, & Technician Manager) to oversee personnel, policies, procedures, and other administrative duties.

We are an independent practice which means there is no corporation demanding increased average transactions. The incoming Medical Director would have much more control of the practice this way, and they would be the “boss.” The Medical Director would have medical autonomy and respect as they lead the office how they see fit — as long as it is a smooth-running operation.

The Medical Director will have a 25k signing bonus and a starting salary of 180k + in addition to 22% commission. Salary can be negotiated based on experience, and retention bonuses will be considered!

Our animal hospital has a 3-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio with long-tenured support staff. We are closed on Sundays and there is no on-call, so you will have a great work/life balance.

Additionally, you will have a lot of support from your certified practice manager, licensed lead technicians, local ownership, practice administrators, and the long-term Medical Directors at our two sister practices!

About the Hospital
