We are seeking an experienced Veterinarian to lead our practice as Medical Director in Newport News, Virginia.

Our Medical Directors spend 90%+ of their time practicing medicine, allowing you to remain hands-on clinically while providing meaningful leadership to a collaborative, well-established team.

This position offers a six-figure base salary plus production, strong clinical and operational support, paid family leave, sign-on bonus packages, and additional benefits.

The Medical Director provides medical leadership for the hospital, supports and manages associate veterinarians, and ensures regulatory compliance related to the practice of veterinary medicine. This role is responsible for fostering a collaborative, team-oriented environment where exceptional patient care and outstanding client service are consistently delivered.

Working alongside two veterinarians, the Medical Director partners closely with the Hospital Manager to support the hospital’s financial performance and daily operations, under the guidance of corporate leadership. Together, the Medical Director and Hospital Manager cultivate a supportive, positive, and growth-oriented team culture.

About the Hospital

Our animal hospital treats dogs, cats, pocket pets, and exotics. We are well-equipped with a digital X-ray and a therapy laser! In addition to wellness & preventative care, we offer dental care, diagnostics, urgent care, nutrition, pain management, in-house pharmacy, and more!
