Veterinarian Director of Specialty Medicine – Cape Cod, MA – #9088

Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career—one that allows you to lead, mentor, and shape the future of specialty medicine while continuing to practice in your area of expertise? Our animal hospital is seeking a collaborative, forward-thinking Director of Specialty Medicine to guide our team of board-certified specialists.

If you’re passionate about patient care, love working alongside talented colleagues, and are eager to make a meaningful impact on the future of specialty veterinary medicine, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

As Director of Specialty Medicine, you’ll take on a 50/50 split between leadership and clinical work—allowing you to continue practicing the specialty you love while also leading, mentoring, and shaping the future of our specialty services.

You’ll be a key part of our hospital’s leadership team, ensuring high-quality, consistent care across all specialties while building and empowering a positive, collaborative culture. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow into leadership or for an experienced specialist ready to take on a vibrant and rewarding new challenge.

At our specialty hospital, we understand that career fulfillment comes from having a supportive team, a healthy work-life balance, and the opportunity to grow in a career that truly excites you. That’s why we’ve built a hospital that prioritizes collaboration, mentorship, and continued learning at every level.

What We’re Looking For

  • Board-certified specialist (DACVIM, DACVR, DACVIM-Cardiology, or equivalent)
  • At least three years of post-residency experience in small animal specialty practice
  • Leadership experience is a plus, though we are willing to support the right person to learn and grow in this role!

If you’re looking for a leadership role where you can make a real difference while still enjoying the fulfillment of specialty medicine (Internal Medicine, Radiology, Cardiology, or another board-certified discipline), we’d love to talk with you.

Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $220,000 to $245,000, plus production, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and work schedule.
