Veterinarian – Director of Bachelor Science Program in Veterinary Technology (virtual position)

We are seeking a Director of Bachelor Science Program in Veterinary Technology for a university who is building a new Bachelor Science Program in Veterinary Technology.

We are searching for a leader to guide the development of this new program to elevate veterinary nurse/technician training by focusing on online development of core competencies and created an unparalleled internships network as a foundation for outstanding clinical training.

The Director will develop the mission and vision for the Veterinary Technology program and lead the development of an innovative curriculum for the new online degree program in Veterinary Technology. The incumbent will build an outstanding team of veterinary technicians to teach courses and mentor students and will provide leadership to students, faculty, and staff in the program and work collaboratively with department chairs and program directors from supporting departments and programs.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent, eligible for licensure in North Carolina, graduate from an AVMA-accredited program
• Experience with curriculum development
• Experience with online course delivery
• Leadership experience in an academic setting
• Experience with developing internship programs
• Record of developing professional networks/relationships
