Territory Sales Manager – Connecticut / New York
Territory Sales Manager Job Opening: The Territory Sales Manager Connecticut / New York will acquire, expand and maintain a particular territory or area of sales accounts. This position entails increasing company revenue by generating sales from new and existing customers. The Territory Sales Manager will identify, qualify and close accounts seeking the organization’s products and services. The incumbent will provide prompt, knowledgeable service to clients and customers and will meet and exceed personal sales objectives by meeting with current and prospective customers. The Territory Sales Manager will work with sales channels to raise awareness of company offerings and will initiate new business ventures in order to increase market share and meet fiscal goals.
The territory includes CT and NY east of I-87, including Long Island. Ideal location for incumbent will be Bridgeport/Waterbury/Stamford CT.
Qualifications include a 4 year degree in business or applicable area of study. Veterinary Sales experience is highly preferred. Other qualifications included are strong consultative skills, skilled at assessing client needs, developing proposals and delivering solutions, strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices and techniques, excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness, excellent speaking skills, professional demeanor, appearance and selling style. Some overnight travel is required. Some weekend work is required for conferences. The successful candidate will be able to attend and conduct presentations.
