Technical Services Manager – Food Animal – # 9715
We are searching for a Technical Service Manager – Food Animal (TSM) for a global FDA approved manufacturer of animal health products. We are seeking for a veterinarian who has excelled in their career and are now looking to take a technical lead role in a dedicated team combining progressive clinical practice with innovative digital technologies. The TSM will report to the VP of Digital Technology.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide on farm technical services support
- Provide internal staff and external customer training (develop and conduct training)
- Support the understanding of Dairy farm management under different farming systems
- Support the clinical development of company’s digital platform
- Attend industry congresses as required such as DCRC, AABP and ADSA
- Liaise with University personnel who may be interested in partnering on projects.
- Articulate industry relevant and practical questions that can be explored
- Utilize data for exploration of clinical questions and development of novel dairy reproduction metrics and trends.
Qualifications / Skills
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in dairy clinical practice, and enjoy interacting with Veterinarians, Herd Owners, Managers, Breeders, Nutritionists and others involved in day-to-day dairy operations.
- Have a special interest in reproductive management, and your analytical personality drives your desire to use data to find and solve problems.
- Desire to find and adopt new technologies that will play a role in changing the industry.
- You are hard working with a can-do attitude; your high energy and drive means you are persistent and strive for excellence whilst inspiring others.
- Strong understanding of Dairy farm management under different farming systems US-wide.
- Have a deep understanding of the prominent US Dairy Herd Management software systems.
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge of dairy cows. Detailed knowledge of dairy cattle health and reproductive program management is prerequisite.
- Solid understanding of clinical pharmacology as it relates to drug management on dairy farms.
- Excellent study evaluation and publishing skills. Be fluent in peer review publication process.
- Strong understanding of applied statistics. Proficiency in one or more programing languages, such as R, Python or SQL, is a plus.
