Swine Technical Services Veterinarian – Midwest

Swine Technical Services Veterinarian.  We have an opening for a Swine Technical Services Veterinarian in the Iowa, Western Illinois, Southern Minnesota and Northern Missouri area. The swine veterinarian will provide the veterinary support of products, evaluations and services to the commercial swine industry in the United States. This position has key face-to-face interactions with customers (internally and externally) to communicate the technical, production and economic rationale of the products and services provided by the company. As an integral team member of a sales and technical organization, this position trains and maximizes the field force’s knowledge of pig care, enteral nutrition, intestinal immune function and swine production methods.

Qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent with 5 years of more industry experience in practice or production systems. Other qualifications include strong analytical thinking, problem solving skills and attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills with various stakeholders. The successful candidate will utilize excellent presentation skills and appropriate tools to conduct educational briefings to both internal and external customers. The successful candidate will have proficient computer skills including Microsoft office suite and ability to learn internal systems. Other qualifications include excellent judgement in influence and leadership situations and have research experience. The successful candidate will have published scientific papers and have a proven record of accomplishments, demonstrating successful veterinarians practice/production system management, strategy execution experience and leadership, ability to think and act strategically and ability to interact with and influence senior management and peers.
