Sales Manager Cattle
Sales Manager Cattle. The Sales Manager Cattle will handle the sales management of the cattle services business on a global basis and will work with the General Manager to collaborate to ensure development of international and domestic sales plans aimed at increasing revenues and growing market share. The Sales Manager will assist in the planning and execution of proprietary bioinformatic development efforts. This may include organization and management of collaborate research agreements, identification of new discoveries available for licensing and establishing targeted research. The Sales Manager Cattle will assume leadership in expanding and strengthening relationships at the highest levels with customers, prospects, academic institutions and other influential groups. The Sales Manager Cattle will represent and position the company as a leading participant in the successful development and marketing of services and diagnostics to the Agricultural Biotechnology Industry and will utilize leadership in other market segments to position the company in new markets. The Sales Manager Cattle will participate in the development of annual budgets with responsibility for forecasting revenues and will prepare monthly reports and attend monthly management meetings.
Qualifications required for this role include ability to travel up to 25% of the time including international travel four times per year. The successful candidate will be analytical, will generate creative solutions, will develop project plans, will need to share expertise with customers, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, have a strong business acumen, have budget management experience, be a strategic thinker with good judgement. Additional requirements include a Bachelors degree in life sciences in a discipline such as agriculture, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry or genetics. Graduate degree in business (MBA) is desired. An MS, PhD, DVM would be preferred but is not required. Business to Business sales experience in a company that operated within a product management structure and marketing principles with business marketing and management experience is desired. Exposure to animal breeding, genetics, diagnostic testing is preferred. The incumbent needs to have experience writing reports and business correspondence and have knowledge of Project Management Software, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Word Processing software; CRM applications as well as network and browser applications.
