Sales Director – California based

Sales Director California based -We have a position open for a Sales Director to lead a team of sales specialists and a sales trainer. The Sales Director will be charged with growing the team and developing the sales messaging. The Sales Director will oversee sales training, mentoring, accountability, goal setting and tracking and will work closely with the marketing department in developing marketing and advertising strategies to support the companies growth. The Sales Director will work close with Operations and Business Development and will implement and review analytics around productivity and efficacy of sales effort. The Sales Director will facilitate productive working relationships internally and externally.

Qualifications include 5+ years in sales management within the animal health industry and experience, analytics experience and is competitive in nature. There is a travel requirement of 20 to 30% and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with overnight travel. Experience with Salesforce is preferred. We are looking for a Sales Director with a servant leadership mentality, who will lead from the heart with an orientation towards service. The successful candidate will be a commitment, big picture (not micro-managerial) personality who is supportive, yet hands off, enjoys mentoring and promotes accountability. The Sales Director needs to be someone who will take the ball and run with it and is detail oriented, who will have candor in providing feedback, resolving issues and mentoring.
