Veterinary Regional Medical Director – Illinois – #10061

We’re seeking a Regional Medical Director to lead and support multiple general practice clinics in Illinois.

This hands-on leadership role lets you keep practicing medicine while shaping clinical standards, mentoring veterinarians, and elevating patient care across your region.

You’ll partner closely with your Regional Operations Manager to align medical and operational excellence, while serving as a trusted resource for your teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide medical leadership and oversight across multiple locations
• Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, especially early-career DVMs
• Support clinical growth in areas like surgery, diagnostics, and case management
• Foster a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture
• Help drive consistency in quality of care while respecting each hospital’s individuality

Qualifications

• Current Veterinary License holder for the State of Illinois, or the ability to obtain one
• 5+ years of clinical experience as a veterinarian, deeply confident in your medicine
• DEA license preferred, not required
• Natural leader and mentor who is driven to teach others
• Highly organized and able to manage time effectively
• Willingness to travel across the region to support all clinics
