Our client is a College of Veterinary Medicine located in Nassau County, New York, and is looking for a motivated, self-directed, and innovative Veterinarian for a faculty position in small animal medicine.

The position may be filled as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

Successful candidates will be engaged in the College’s educational, research, and service activities. Primary responsibilities will include clinical and didactic teaching in the small-animal medicine course and laboratories. No clinical duty is expected, but there will be opportunities to collaborate with affiliate practices.

Successful candidates are expected to promote our overall mission of enhancing veterinary medical education through a commitment to teaching, academic excellence, and service to a variety of stakeholders.

Active engagement in curriculum development, identification or creation of innovative learning resources, and committee service participation (such as admissions, curriculum, research, etc.) is expected.

The successful candidate must have a DVM or equivalent degree and expertise in Small Animal Medicine. Specialty board certification/eligibility by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or equivalent is essential. Advanced training in small animal medicine and research with a PhD is desired.

Salary – $150,000 – $250,000
