Professional Services Veterinarian – Dairy

The incumbent will provide educational, professional and technical support to sales in the region in order to facilitate sales of our clients products. Will travel within region which stretches from Ohio to NY. Assist sales with teaching, coaching and training. Provide direct support to veterinarians, veterinary practices and staff, veterinary colleges and research veterinarians, provide seminars to practices and veterinary associations or meetings. Provide support to Sales and Marketing at assigned veterinary conventions and trade shows.  Provide training/seminars to employees at assigned meetings and events. Identify and cultivate the cooperation of key opinion leaders to further promote our client’s products. Provide reports to management as well as identifying areas of improvement in the region.

Qualifications include:

-DVM or equivalent degree. 2 years clinical experience or 1 year internship. Industry experience preferred.  Experience in clinical medicine and surgery.

-Experience with mastitis treatment and a good understanding of subclinical mastitis

-Experience in dairy records analysis with the ability to use Dairy Comp 305, DHI+, and PC Dart

-Contacts at influential large dairies in the US market

-Contacts and access to key universities with dairy science programs

-Experience in selling product utilizing technical expertise and the dairy records mentioned above

-Lives in the eastern half of the United States

-Open to extensive travel (3-4 nights per week most weeks)

-Fluent in English with the ability to communicate in Spanish as a second language

-Good writing skills
