Outside Sales Representative – Dairy Products – Syracuse, New York 

We have a position open for an Outside Sales Representative to join a leading company selling animal health and livestock products. Our ideal candidate is a motivated, up and coming individual with sales experience. This role has the possibility for upward mobility into a future management role. The position reports to a Regional Sales Manager.

Join a fun and hard-working team to strategically grow current customers and create new customers from leads and prospects with a goal of increasing overall client satisfaction. Schedule includes occasional overtime, weekends, and some weeknights dependent on customer demand.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Driving sales with a designated client list to meet and/or exceed sales goals
• Implement quarterly plans while utilizing tools and reports
• Make outbound calls and follow-up with potential and existing customers
• Responsible for on-farm sales calls, price quoting, and estimated delivery dates
• Organize weekly client appointments

Requirements 

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of sales experience in the Animal Health Industry
• Demonstrated success in exceeding sales goals
• Strong interpersonal skills, and a warm, inviting telephone sales personality
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Support for a quality work environment by taking the initiative and being a team player
• Able to travel and attend overnight meetings
