We are seeking a compassionate Mobile Veterinarian to provide in-home euthanasia services for families across the Chicago area. This field-based role allows you to deliver peaceful, dignified end-of-life care in a calm, unrushed setting — without the pressures of a traditional clinic.

You’ll travel within a defined local radius, supporting families and their pets during end-of-life appointments. A typical day includes 3–5 scheduled visits (each lasting 30–60 minutes), with all logistics, scheduling, and client communication handled for you. There are no nights, on-call shifts, or clinic responsibilities — just meaningful, focused care.

This is a low-stress, purpose-driven alternative to traditional practice. You’ll have schedule flexibility, autonomy in your territory, and the ability to truly connect with clients during one of the most important moments in their pet’s life. Ideal for veterinarians seeking balance, reduced burnout, or meaningful work.

The annual compensation range is $140,000 to $165,000, depending on experience.

Candidates must hold an active Illinois Veterinary License along with DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance licenses registered to their home address. The ideal veterinarian is confident performing euthanasia independently, demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and a compassionate bedside manner, and is comfortable working autonomously in the field. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.

This role is best suited for someone calm, empathetic, and confident in emotionally sensitive situations — able to guide grieving families with professionalism, clarity, and genuine care.
