Ready to lead a talented veterinary team while focusing on what you do best—practicing exceptional medicine? We are seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide clinical leadership at a well-established small animal practice in Somerville, Massachusetts.

This role is designed for a veterinarian who understands both high-quality patient care and the business side of veterinary medicine. You’ll mentor fellow doctors, promote medical excellence, and help guide the hospital’s clinical vision while partnering with an experienced, emotionally intelligent Practice Manager who oversees the day-to-day operations. Your focus will remain on medicine, team development, and serving as a positive role model for the veterinary staff.

The preferred schedule is four 10-hour days per week (40 hours total), including two weekend days per month. When weekend shifts are worked, you’ll receive two weekdays off. A traditional five-day, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule is also available for those who prefer it.

Compensation ranges from $200,000–$300,000 annually, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, doctors are eligible for 20% production when production exceeds the base salary, with no negative accrual.
