Marketing Manager-Production/Large Animal Products (Kansas City area)

Our client is a leading company in the Animal Health pharmaceutical industry. The Marketing Manager will handle the development and implementation of marketing plan strategies for large animal products. The incumbent will regularly interface with R&D, Sales, Customer Service and Regulatory, Technical Services and Senior Management internally.

The Marketing Manager will be in charge of the annual marketing plans for large food producing animal products. The Marketing Manager will interface with sales management to implement marketing programs and strategies and will work with agencies to develop and create support materials for products. The Marketing Manager will handle monthly forecasting and analysis of products with manufacturing and customer service and will provide leadership in driving future product development with R&D. The Marketing Manager will utilize CRM and customer data to develop marketing programs and will plan for Tradeshows and conference coordination with customers.

Qualifications include excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to work in a team environment, Bachelor’s degree, 5-8 years in the animal pharmaceutical industry, 3-5 years of proven sales and marketing management experience in the animal health industry, track record of success in achieving sales and performance metrics, understanding and knowledge of the animal health distribution network, strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, strong leadership and decision making skills, ability to sell, manage and drive growth, excellent computer skills including MS Word, Power Point, Excel, experience with dashboards and data analysis preferred, understanding of Veterinary Rx and OTC market places, experience with CRM software, broad knowledge of the large animal health market, ability to create and implement strong marketing plans and programs. The successful candidate will be able and willing to travel up to 40% of the time but we are expecting less travel than that.

The successful candidate will be required to work out of a company office located in the greater Kansas City area.
