This roles includes  responsibility for project planning and oversees the successful delivery and Go to Market strategy for pet food/nutrition and then will evolve into establishing the brand at the strategic level to the veterinarian and pet owner level.

The Marketing Manager Pet Food is responsible for the management and profitability of the assigned products groups within the division, which includes existing products and new product development. The Marketing Manager will determine strategic direction and manage a line of products toward achieving revenue and profitability objectives. The Marketing Manager will provide direction to sales, planning, manufacturing, regulatory and development, finance, logistics and business development according to the marketing plans. The incumbent will develop and coordinate advertising, packaging, programs and promotional materials.

The Marketing Manager will define the three year marketing plan in relation to brand product positioning. The incumbent will identify potential new markets for expansion of existing or creation of new product lines. The incumbent will introduce new products to the marketplace. The incumbent will identify and target weak areas of current product lines for the purpose of introducing new items to bolster current category sales.  The incumbent will complete year-end projects and suggests ways in which brand portfolio can evolve over three years with relevant tactics. The Marketing Manager will lead in the development of marketing and sales support materials specific to brand products in a timely fashion.  The Marketing Manager will develop marketing campaigns based on knowledge of the product portfolio, market segments, profitability expectations, product cost and market conditions. The Marketing Manager will propose plans for lifecycle management of product line as well as plans to rationalize the product portfolio where appropriate.

Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in sales and marketing, business or a similar field.  An advanced degree is a plus.  10  years of marketing experience is preferred with two  years’ experience at a product manager level. We will consider those with 5+ more years of experience.  Animal Health Industry, Pet food, veterinary channel and e-commerce experience is preferred. CRM experience related to customer segmentation experience is preferred. Experience with B2B and B2C communication as well as strong understanding of logistics of e-commerce is plus.
