Compensation: Approximately $49,920-$60,000 annually

Location: Vancouver, Washington – On-Site

The VET Recruiter is working with a growing company in the Animal Health industry to identify an Inside Sales Representative for its Vancouver, Washington-area operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the veterinary profession and enjoys talking with veterinary professionals, building relationships, educating customers, and developing new business.

The Inside Sales Representative will focus on a veterinary-specific software platform designed to help veterinary practices manage imaging and clinical workflow. The software provides capabilities including digital X-ray imaging, clinical charting, AI-enabled features, and other tools designed specifically for veterinary clinical care.

The platform can be used by both general veterinary practices and specialty practices, so the successful candidate should be comfortable communicating with veterinarians and veterinary team members about their clinical needs and explaining how technology can improve their clinical and radiology workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • This is primarily a phone-based sales position involving both inbound and outbound customer communication.
  • Handle inbound inquiries from veterinary professionals interested in the company’s software solutions.
  • Conduct outbound calls to veterinary practices to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Prospect and cold call prospective customers.
  • Build relationships with veterinarians, practice managers, veterinary technicians, specialists, and other members of the veterinary team.
  • Educate prospective and existing customers about veterinary software and its capabilities.
  • Demonstrate how software features can support radiology, clinical charting, imaging, and clinical workflow.
  • Help customers understand and evaluate the technology based on the needs of their individual practice.
  • Follow up with leads and prospective customers throughout the sales process.
  • Provide customer education and training related to the software.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, opportunities, and follow-up activity.
  • Develop a strong understanding of veterinary imaging, radiology, and the company’s technology solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the sales, customer support, and technical teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Our client is looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, confident initiating conversations, and capable of developing relationships with veterinary professionals.
  • Inside sales, business development, customer service, veterinary, Animal Health, or related experience.
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The confidence and persistence necessary to make outbound prospecting and cold calls.
  • An ability to listen to customers, understand their needs, and communicate solutions clearly.
  • An understanding of veterinary practices and how veterinarians and veterinary teams work.
  • Familiarity with veterinary imaging, radiology, clinical workflow, or related technology is highly desirable.
  • Comfort discussing software and technology with customers.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • The ability to learn technical and clinical information and explain it in an understandable way.
  • A customer-focused, professional approach.
  • Experience working in a veterinary practice could be particularly valuable for this position. A veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, practice team member, or other veterinary professional with strong communication skills and an interest in transitioning into sales may also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, hourly position paying $24-$29 per hour, depending upon experience and qualifications. This equates to approximately $49,920-$60,000 annually based on a 40-hour workweek.

There is no commission component for this position.

Location & Travel

This position is based in the Vancouver, Washington area and requires the successful candidate to work locally/on-site.

No travel is required.
