General Manager – Resort in Eastern Oregon #5558

General Manager – Resort in Eastern Oregon #5558

We are seeking a General Manager for a 14,000-acre, high-end ranch resort in eastern Oregon. The resort has lots of things the guests can do, from razor rides, cattle roundup, and goat herding to wagon rides, biking, world-class golf, and a spa. Beautiful and secluded in nature, it features 34 room/46 bed, 2-bedroom luxury log cabins with fireplaces and hot tubs. There are 18 other spacious rooms with 1 or 2 king beds, and 8 more rooms are under constructions. The ranch is also building and selling vacation homes on the land, so this position will be managing these houses once built.

We are looking for someone who has previously worked at a smaller resort, a ranch or boutique resort. The General Manager will receive a salary as well as living arrangements in on-site housing.

The incumbent will manage and direct the overall operational and fiscal performance of the facility and will develop and implement fiscal, operational, and business development plans and strategies. They will establish and administer operational standards and quality performance guidelines for all system operating functions and staff. The General Manager will also provide direction, supervision, and guidance to subordinate management staff, oversee and manage employment activities, and develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, municipal offers, and community organizations. They will maintain knowledge of current and projected industry developments through continuous attention to golf industry periodicals and participation in relevant trade associates and organizations.

  • College degree preferred
  • 5 years of applicable functional, supervisory, and/or management experience, preferable in the golf industry
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
