Director of Technical Services and Equine Products Marketing

Director of Technical Services and Equine Products Marketing.  This role reports to the CEO of our client’s organization. The Director of Technical Services and Equine Products Marketing will devise programs for and make calls on state diagnostic labs, veterinary clinics and distributor personnel to discuss and demonstrate the organization’s products. In addition, the incumbent will have a critical role in positioning and validating a new and innovative test for dogs prior to its introduction. A typical week will include phone and personal customer contact, addressing technical issues with lab personnel and conferencing with management regarding the progression of the existing diagnostic sales as well as the steps necessary to bring the test to market. This is a team oriented culture with the common goal of providing customers with quality products in a timely manner to advance sales and the organization’s reputation in the market. There will be one animal health technician who is involved in customer contact who will report to this role. The company’s clients include veterinarians, lab managers and select veterinary distributors. There is potential for this person to grow into the head of the diagnostic business unit for the organization.

Qualifications. The position does require travel up to 8 days per month. Qualifications include being familiar with and having run diagnostic tests in various formats. The successful candidate will have exposure to equine practice, be friendly, informative and capable of training people by relating the features, advantages and benefits of the organization’s products and how they can help customers and clients.
