Director of Technical Services

Director Technical Services.  Our client is a producer of biological products for the beef and dairy industries.

The Director of Technical Services will manage the interaction with customers, nutritionists and will educate the cattle and dairy industries about the benefits of the product the company manufactures as well as related future products. The incumbent will liaison with Nutritionists for existing and future customers and present data regarding products. The incumbent will work with sales personnel at customer and potential customer facilities. The Director will assist consulting nutritionists to facilitate feed regiment at feed yards and dairies. The Director will work with the marketing group to create advertising campaigns and technical presentation of trial data and will work with internal staff on opportunities, challenges, information and technology requirements for the product and related products. The Director will present latest data and development of company products at conferences, symposiums, veterinarians and nutritionist group meetings and will supervise, coordinate and participate in the writing of experimental protocol for planned trails. The Director will handle scientific publication of relevant research in peer-reviewed journals and will work with international experts and assist with international research efforts. The incumbent will gain knowledge of latest developments by keeping up on latest scientific research, papers and networking with other scientists. The Director will assist with potential grant opportunities, assist with marketing and R&D budgets and contribute to team effort in fast-paced, start-up culture.

Qualifications include; PhD with major in Animal Nutrition or related field, 3-5 years experience in research leadership role. Scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals a plus, strong interpersonal skills both inside and outside of organization, understanding of anaerobic fermentation process a plus, demonstrated strong work ethic, desire to exceed expectations by displaying a strong sense of ownership, familiar with Microsoft Office and statistical analysis, experience presenting and public speaking to external groups is a plus.
