Director of Engineering

This role is a critical, high-level, hands-on opportunity. This position will coordinate all activities related to building, outfitting, commissioning and validation of the facility, including engineering, process implementation, quality and regulatory. Close interaction with the critical department heads and heading up an operational team is essential to success. Our client is a rapidly growing animal health company, providing solutions to cattle farmers in the areas of vaccines and infectious disease. This role is a part of a significant investment by the company to bring a new product to the market that is in the final stages of development and licensure.

Qualifications include a chemical engineering or biochemical background with several years of experience installing, qualifying, commissioning and licensing pharmaceutical facilities. The successful candidate will have experience with FDA requirements and facility inspections, engineering and construction of compliant facilities, preferably fermentation and downstream purification of proteins and peptides.  The ability to work at a high-level as well as being a hand’s-on individual is critical to success. Animal Health Industry experience is highly preferred.
