Chief Executive Officer

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Position Open – We are looking for an exceptional and experienced Chief Executive Officer for our client’s organization. We seek a sales-oriented leader who will be responsible for achieving the commercial and strategic objectives and facilitate the rapid growth of the company. With broad operating responsibility, the CEO will manage the day-to-day operations of the company. The ideal candidate is someone who has a demonstrated track record of success in managing all aspects of a high growth global business, preferable in an early-stage animal health environment. Our ideal candidate has managed, developed and motivated an existing team of strong executives including company founders.

The successful candidate will be expected to build/expand the sales team, strengthen the market position in the US and achieve profitable growth within the next five years.

The CEO will have responsibility for fundraising and to prepare the company for acquisition. The CEO will lead and coach the management team of the company to successful achievement of objectives. The CEO will establish and lead the direct sales and marketing team within the organization and will establish and ensure the success of channel partners. The CEO will achieve sales quotas through management of sales team and channel partners and will supervise and co-ordinate operations at the head office. The CEO will travel with direct reports to motivate, teach and manage based on defined expectations an goals. The CEO will assist the direct and indirect sales team in the development of an opportunity pipeline through aggressive prospecting and promotion of value proposition to economic, technical and user buyers.

Qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of experience as CEO or in a senior sales leadership position within the animal health market, experience with an early-stage animal health technology company, proven ability to recruit, retain and motivate a successful sales and marketing team, proven ability to establish strategic business partnerships, demonstrated success in a missionary sales environment, proven track record of successfully growing revenue through value proposition selling, proven presentation and negotiation skills, strong leadership, mentoring and communication skills, “hungry” and motivated to lead a new company and develop a new market, experience in building networks and managing internal team and customer relationships, able to travel, record of building and maintaining a strong corporate culture, impeccable ethical and corporate governance stands, track record of joining an existing company, adopting and preserving the positive aspects of an existing company culture, demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-national, multi-cultural company, track record of growing sales of a new company, demonstrated ability to balance conflicting demands of research, manufacturing, regulatory and sales, experience in joining and developing an existing corporate culture while working well with company founders. We are looking for a game-changing CEO to take the company into commercialization!
