Step into a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up in Puerto Rico. We’re seeking a Board-Certified Veterinarian Surgeon ready to take full ownership of a newly created role within one of the busiest emergency clinics in the San Juan metro area.

This position offers true autonomy, with direct collaboration alongside a supportive Board of Directors — not micromanagement. You’ll design the surgical suite, select equipment, and shape protocols, culture, and standards from day one. You’ll also work closely with an in-house oncologist as we build a first-of-its-kind model on the island: a 24/7 emergency hospital combined with board-certified surgical specialty care.

Beyond board certification, we are looking for a surgeon with meaningful post-residency clinical experience, ideally in a private practice or specialty hospital setting. Experience with both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery is strongly preferred, as our emergency caseload is broad and varied. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable, given our patient community in Puerto Rico, though not an absolute requirement for the right candidate. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a leadership mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, and genuine commitment to building something from the ground up.
