Our client is a positive, motivated and growth-oriented team of veterinary professionals who are eager to learn, continuously improve the quality of medicine and proud to offer clients and patients the best and most innovative veterinary experience possible. The team is equipped with a La Boit mobile Veterinary Vehicle that allows the practice to perform all of the functions of a stationary veterinary clinic, but with the convenience of “at your door service”.
We are looking an Associate Veterinarian for the location in Newbury Park, CA. Our ideal candidate will be positive, flexible, outgoing, team-oriented with strong work ethic. Strong communication skills are a must.
The veterinarian will be expected to prepare for the day’s appointments to ensure that they have done the appropriate research, if needed, to provide thorough and calculated medical treatments.
Routine anesthetic procedures such as dental cleanings, spays, neuters, and mass removals are also performed in the truck at the client’s home or office and are usually scheduled at 9am. The position consist of full and part time opportunities with (3) or (4) 10-hour work days a week. Some weekend days are required.
The veterinarian will ensure all notes from appointments, phone calls or e-mail interactions have been thoroughly documented in medical records. The veterinarian will offer professional, friendly and responsive service towards clients and coworkers. Problem solving capabilities with a willingness to tackle unique challenges are required along with high emotional intelligence with the ability to read situations and emotions.
Qualifications:
DVM or equivalent, possession of veterinary license (accredited by AVMA). Working knowledge of Avimark or other EMR systems, x-ray and ultrasound is preferred.
Compensation & Other Benefits:
Base compensation (Based on per diem structure) plus performance bonuses offered quarterly. The practice offers a relocation stipend, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401k, paid vacation, sick leave, continuing education and performance bonuses.
