Located in the gorgeous Appalachian Mountains, Cumberland Metro is a wonderful place to call home. This region is culturally rich and is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts! Cumberland Metro serves as the western terminus of the Chesapeake and Ohio (C&O) Canal Towpath, a historic 184.5-mile trail ideal for biking, hiking, and history enthusiasts. Or, known for its beautiful lake, trails, and golf course, Rocky Gap State Park is perfect for hiking, fishing, camping, and even casino gaming at the Rocky Gap Casino Resort. And just outside Cumberland, the expansive Green Ridge State Forest offers over 80 miles of hiking trails, and primitive camping sites, and overlooks with stunning views of the Potomac River valley. For the history buffs out there, Cumberland County is full of beautifully preserved architecture, with Victorian-era buildings, shops, cafes, and galleries.
