We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate Medical Affairs Manager to play a critical role in developing and executing Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement strategies within the animal health industry. This individual will help drive scientific collaboration, veterinary education initiatives, and cross-functional alignment to support continued growth and innovation.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings both strategic thinking and strong relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a central point of contact for KOL-related activities across cross-functional teams, including commercial (sales & marketing), corporate affairs, and innovation/R&D.
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, researchers, and industry influencers.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute KOL engagement activities such as advisory boards, speaker programs, and scientific collaborations.
- Partner with medical affairs, product management, and commercial teams to support veterinary education programs, including continuing education (CE), webinars, and live events.
- Ensure all scientific and educational communications are compliant, accurate, and balanced.
- Develop and execute tailored engagement strategies aligned with KOL expertise and interests.
- Support communication strategies to keep KOLs informed of emerging research and product developments.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, seminars, and events.
- Lead planning and execution of internal conferences, including agenda development, speaker coordination, and logistics.
- Support and expand initiatives focused on veterinary technicians, including engagement with technician schools, specialty groups, and professional organizations.
- Collaborate with innovation and clinical research teams to align KOL engagement with pipeline development and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication across departments and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational objectives.
- This is not a remote position. This position requires the person to work in an office 5 days a week.
Qualifications
- DVM or VMD preferred; experienced Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) with a Bachelor’s degree will be considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the animal health industry (industry experience required; candidates transitioning directly from clinical practice will not be considered).
- Proven experience working with KOLs, academic institutions, or external partners.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and comfort engaging external partners independently.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives, education programs, or medical affairs activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, including overnight travel.
- Must be willing to work on site in a corporate office 5 days per week when not traveling for business.
