Seeking a Regional Manager for Emergency, Urgent Care, and Specialty Practices across Illinois. If you’re an experienced veterinary operations leader ready to make a real impact across a growing network of hospitals, this role offers the opportunity to shape the future of veterinary medicine in Illinois.
As the Regional Manager, you’ll collaborate with senior leadership, medical partners, and internal operations teams to drive excellence at every location. You’ll provide hands-on support to practice managers, oversee business operations, and help implement key initiatives that improve workflow, financial health, and team culture. This is a dynamic position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working directly with people and pets at the heart of veterinary care.
You’ll take a leadership role in guiding hospital operations—including staffing, budgeting, marketing, and training—while partnering closely with managing veterinarians to align on goals and ensure high-quality patient care. You’ll also play an active part in reviewing financial and operational performance, leading post-acquisition integrations, and supporting continued growth as more hospitals join the regional network.
This position requires regular travel (approximately 4 days per week) across hospitals in Illinois, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed.
Salary: $130K, 10% bonus, and a car allowance.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator, natural leader, and strategic thinker with a strong background in multi-site management. You should be highly organized, data-driven, and comfortable mentoring diverse teams.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience overseeing multiple veterinary locations, preferably in emergency, specialty, or urgent care settings
- Background as a veterinary technician or similar clinical experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and budgeting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education required; CVPM preferred but not mandatory
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Midwest
