Account Manager Swine – Iowa

Associate Strategic Account Manager Swine – South Dakota-The Associate Strategic Account Manager Swine will be the primary point of contact for assigned swine producer and veterinary accounts. The incumbent will help coordinate all support activities with the assigned accounts. This role can require up to 50% overnight travel depending on the area size and customer needs. The incumbent will grow business partnerships and have an in-depth understanding of the customer and will be a trusted advisor within the assigned accounts. The incumbent will negotiate and manage contracts, programs and initiatives with the assigned accounts.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Pre-Vet, Ag Business, Ag Economics, Marketing or relevant degree, minimum of 5 years of sales and swine/livestock experience, a successful track record of working with and managing sales with large livestock production companies. An MBA or MS degree is a plus. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, negotiation skills, a strong technical background, understanding of business relationships between all aspects of the swine production chain including production, veterinarians, packers, processors, feel milling, nutritionists, sales, marketing and distribution. Ability to travel including overnights is required.
