Are you an experienced veterinarian ready to lead a collaborative specialty team? We are seeking a Chief Veterinarian to provide clinical leadership for a specialty practice in Spring, Texas.
In this role, you will oversee the medical direction of the hospital while mentoring veterinarians and interns, advancing clinical quality, and promoting consistent, evidence-based patient care. You’ll work alongside an experienced leadership team and board-certified specialists to help shape protocols, improve patient outcomes, and support the continued growth of the practice.

What You’ll Do
Lead the hospital’s medical team while providing mentorship and clinical guidance to veterinarians and interns. You’ll oversee medical quality, establish clinical protocols, review complex cases, support quality improvement initiatives, collaborate with specialists and hospital leadership, and help strengthen relationships with referring veterinarians. This position combines hands-on clinical practice with dedicated administrative time for leadership, coaching, and program development.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a DVM or VMD degree, be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Texas, and have at least five years of clinical experience. Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience is required. Experience in specialty, emergency, referral medicine, or advanced diagnostic imaging is strongly preferred.
This is a full-time leadership position based primarily in Spring, TX, with occasional travel between practice locations. After successful onboarding, the role offers the flexibility of one remote workday per week for administrative and leadership responsibilities.
