Our client, a global leader in animal health, is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead pharmacovigilance activities within its North American operations. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to work cross-functionally with regulatory affairs, technical services, quality, and commercial leadership while helping ensure the continued safety and compliance of a diverse animal health product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage veterinary pharmacovigilance and adverse event reporting activities
- Review, assess, and document product safety cases and complaints
- Ensure compliance with FDA/CVM and applicable global pharmacovigilance requirements
- Evaluate and escalate potential safety signals and emerging trends
- Partner closely with Regulatory Affairs, Technical Services, Quality Assurance, and R&D teams
- Provide veterinary medical expertise related to product safety and risk management
- Assist with pharmacovigilance training and continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- DVM/VMD required
- 5+ years of experience within animal health, including pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, technical services, clinical development, or related functions
- Strong understanding of veterinary adverse event reporting and regulatory compliance
- Experience working with FDA/CVM regulations preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced corporate environment
Preferred Experience
- Background in companion animal and/or food animal health
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical or other veterinary health products
- Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance systems and processes
- Industry experience within a commercial animal health company strongly preferred
