The Director of Operations will work in a manufacturing facility and is responsible for meeting production, quality, safety, delivery, and cost targets, while leading the operations team and aligning with strategy. This role is hand’s on and strategic, covering production, process improvement, people, and compliance. The Director of Operations will lead supply chain/procurement to ensure raw material availability, inventory control, and logistics. The incumbent will align the production schedule with the company strategy and report performance to senior leadership. The Director of Operations will develop long-range production scheduled aligned with demand, capacity, and inventory objectives. The incumbent will monitor key production metrics and adjust plans or resources to increase efficiency and keep the facility on plan. The incumbent will work with the QA team to ensure products meet specifications, customer requirements, and standards. The incumbent will enforce OSHA and company safety policies, drive a strong safety culture, and ensure incident reporting and corrective actions. The incumbent will maintain compliance with legal, environmental and industry regulations, including documentation audits and corrective actions. The Director of Operations will lead, develop, and hold accountable operations, production and maintenance managers accountable. The Director of Operations will drive continuous improvement using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma 5S to improve efficiency, quality and yield. The Director of Operations will analyze operating costs and implement actions to improve productivity and profitability. The Director of Operations will evaluate processes and equipment performance and champion process changes to increase capacity and remove bottlenecks.
Qualifications include: 3 years of experience in management or in a similar industry, strong communication skills with a professional demeanor, outstanding communication skills; both verbally and in writing, excellent organizational, logistics and leadership abilities, ability to demonstrate conflict resolution, problem solving, time management, goal setting and prioritization, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms, ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment, positive attitude and a desire to help others. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
