Join our Animal Hospital as a Group Medical Director, where you will oversee three animal hospitals from Richmond up to Leesport, Virginia.

You will work a 4-day work week with dedicated admin time for leadership responsibilities and never have to work nights or weekends!
Position Overview:
As the Group Medical Director, you will oversee our three locations in Virginia. You will work closely with our operations and medical leaders to ensure the success and growth of our teams. We are looking for a veterinarian who:

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and control of essential medical services
- Advise on policies and procedures for best practice clinical operations and efficient use of staff
- Ensure exemplary delivery of all clinical services for an optimum client experience
- Maintain strategic clinical relationships with the referring veterinary community
- Oversee client medical issues and provide clinical mentoring and coaching
- Supervise staff and monitor training, continuing education, and development of the clinical team
- Evaluate the performance of technical staff members
- Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements
- Recommend improvements for clinical policies and procedures
- Define and understand the duties, responsibilities, authority, and accountability of subordinates
- Monitor all aspects of medical quality and report findings to senior management
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
- Board certification in medical oncology, radiology, or internal medicine (DACVIM-O, DACVR, or DACVIM-SAIM)
- At least 5+ years of clinical, scientific, or industry experience, ideally in a high-volume environment
- Ability to become licensed to practice in the state of Virginia
- Professional and excellent interpersonal skills with a positive, diplomatic attitude
- Ability to travel to all three locations on a weekly to biweekly basis
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Innovative thinker focused on continuous improvement
