Business Development Senior Manager / Executive Sales  – (One hour from Kansas City) – # 8873

Our client is a leading innovator in the pet wellness space, offering science-backed pet health products. The company is experiencing rapid growth and is looking for a seasoned Business Development/Executive Sales Manager. This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-growing, mission-driven company

 

The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets and will identify and cultivate relationships with channel partners, distributors, and retailers. The incumbent will actively prospect new client opportunities and will provide market feedback and insights to the leadership and product development teams. The incumbent will collaborate with marketing to align sales initiatives with brand positioning and will represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. Travel is required. The incumbent will prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to executive level decision-makers and will analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities. The incumbent will identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships that drive long-term growth. The incumbent will own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.

 

Qualifications include bachelor’s degree (Animal Science, Marketing, Business, or related field), 8+ years of proven sales, business development, or strategic partnerships experience with at least 3+ years in the pet or animal health space. Other qualifications include demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales targets, excellent negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills, self-motivated, strategic thinker with a customer-first mindset. Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. Preferred qualifications include having an existing network in the animal health, veterinary and pet channels, experience working with national retailers, distributors or e-commerce platforms, knowledge of industry trends, product regulatory requirements, and customer personas in the pet space.
