Regional Sales Manager – Cattle – Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska – # 8754

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be a “player/coach” that will call on customers and manage a team in a territory covering Kansas, eastern Colorado, Nebraska, and Missouri.  The RSM will call on and manage a territory of large operations, calf ranches, feed yards, large cow calf customers and dairy operations for the company’s product portfolio.  The majority of customers will be beef cattle.

The RSM will manages a team of Territory Sales Representatives (TSR). The RSM is responsible for motivating team members to exceed expectations and achieve their sales goals /metrics while also growing/developing relationships with the key accounts in their region.

Prior industry sales experience calling on cow / calf operations and dairy operations and related knowledge is critical. This is a role that is going to be out in the field a large portion of the time working with reps and meeting with customers. This is not a role working in a home office most of the time, although the incumbent’s office will be at home.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Agriculture, Animal Science or a related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in sales leadership or similar roles within the veterinary or healthcare industry.
• Prior experience calling cattle operations
• Pro-active mindset and good communication skills
• Ability to travel in the region and national events / meetings
• Demonstrated ability to manage a successful team
