Position open for a strategic and experienced Regional Medical Director to lead and support veterinary hospitals across the city of Indianapolis. This role partners closely with the Regional Operations Director to elevate medical care, mentor veterinary teams, and drive operational excellence.
As a key leader, you’ll set the medical standard of care and work directly with hospital doctors to promote best practices, professional growth, and high-quality patient and client service. You’ll guide doctor development plans, lead annual reviews, and help build strong, collaborative teams by recruiting, onboarding, and mentoring DVMs across your region.
You’ll also play a central role in ensuring consistent, high-level medical delivery through regular hospital visits, quarterly one-on-one meetings with DVMs, and oversight of surgical proficiency, client communication, medical charting, and service charging. Your leadership will influence everything from medical inventory decisions to intern/extern program management.
Additional responsibilities include representing our brand at regional veterinary colleges, supporting compliance with DEA and state regulations, and collaborating on capital expenditures and scheduling needs.

Qualifications:
You must hold a DVM degree and a valid license in good standing. We’re looking for a leader with multi-site veterinary experience, excellent communication skills, and a history of developing strong hospital teams. Prior ownership or lead veterinarian experience is highly valued.
