We’re seeking an experienced and inspiring Regional Medical Director to oversee and elevate medical standards across our veterinary hospitals in Indiana and the Louisville, KY region.

This is a high-impact leadership position working closely with doctor teams and the Regional Operations Director to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:
As Regional Medical Director, you’ll mentor and support veterinary teams, helping doctors grow their skills in medicine, surgery, communication, charting, and client service. You’ll lead one-on-one development conversations, conduct formal reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. You’ll also play a vital role in recruiting new DVMs and developing internal veterinary leaders.

You’ll guide hospitals toward clinical excellence by setting care standards, hosting regular doctor meetings, and evaluating team performance. You’ll also assist with equipment prioritization, student externships, scheduling support, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Develop strong partnerships with hospital managers, veterinary teams, and operations leaders
• Conduct evaluations, mentor DVMs, and support paraprofessional team development
• Lead doctor onboarding, recruitment, and performance reviews
• Review production, charting, and client care quality in quarterly meetings
• Ensure each hospital upholds consistent medical practices and high standards
• Represent our organization at veterinary colleges and lead extern/intern programs
• Collaborate on capital expenses, equipment upgrades, and scheduling
• Maintain all regulatory compliance and attend 30–40 hours of CE annually

Who You Are:

• A licensed DVM in good standing
• A strong communicator with sharp presentation and organizational skills
• A proven leader with experience overseeing multiple hospital locations
• A former hospital owner or lead DVM with a passion for developing teams
• Detail-oriented and committed to delivering the highest level of care
