Meet Artisan makers, shop in Indie boutiques or designer fashion shops, admire priceless works of art, sing your heart out at a karaoke club, catch a fish at ‘The Marketplace,’ and explore the city’s diverse neighborhoods. One of the city’s most active sightseeing areas is the Waterfront with its piers, which are home to recreational spaces, boat tours, and ferry docks, as well as fun attractions like “The Great Ferris Wheel.” In addition, the city boasts a magnificent mountain setting: to the east is the ice pyramid of Mount Rainier National Park, rising out of the Cascade Mountains, and to the west, the partly snowcapped peaks of Olympic National Park. Some call Seattle the Coffee capital of the U.S. as they are the 1st city that opened a Starbucks!
