We are seeking a Board Certified Veterinarian Anesthesiologist to join a dedicated team in the San Francisco Peninsula area. This is an advanced veterinary imaging practice leading the way in Animal MRI Services. This position is primarily responsible for performing a variety of animal health care duties to assist the Veterinarian Medical Director; understands all aspects of administering, monitoring, and the recovery of anesthesia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examines animal prior to MRI scan
- Communicates to the owner instructions for admission and discharge of MRI patients
- Oversees the entire MRI scan during the administering, monitoring, and recovery of the MRI patients
- Review all of the patient’s paperwork; assist in lifting and holding patient for preparation and conclusion of MRI scan.
- Monitor oxygen supplies, change cylinders, and order oxygen as needed
- Assist with admitting and discharging MRI patients as needed
- Assist clients and staff with transporting patient from the building to the car as needed
- Maintains the general appearance and hygiene of the center
- Develops or expands programs or services for scientific research
- Organizes, directs, manages, and coordinates various programs and services related to conduct MRI’s on all different types of animals
- Designed and implements programs evaluations of all aspects of resource and quality management
- Directs hiring and training of personnel
- Directs and coordinates activities of all aspects of the MRI center
- Develops cooperative relationships with other Veterinarian practices and community agencies to pursue the goals related to managing the MRI center
- Provides consultation, feedback, and recommendation to the MRI center’s employees
- Designs and reviews policies and procedures related to quality management such as methods of performance measures and chart review procedures
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate is a team player and must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. DVM or equivalent or 10+ years of experience and/or training are required. Language, math, computer, and reasoning skills as well as the ability of lift/move up to 100 pounds are a must.
