Team Lead / Sales Manager – Atlanta, GA

Team Lead / Sales Manager – Atlanta, GA location preferred but open to someone in the Southeast or East Coast-Fast growing company has doubled sales over the past two years.

The incumbent will lead and develop the business in the Veterinary Channel to become a leader in the space, by growing your own territory and leading and growing the Veterinary Channel sales team.

The incumbent will generate revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales; recommending new products and services. The incumbent will establish and nurture strong relationships with key veterinary customers and distributor partners sales teams, empowering their success. The incumbent will train and coach distributor sales reps on key account calls. The incumbent will identify market potential by qualifying accounts and will initiate a sales process by scheduling appointments, making initial presentation, understanding account requirements. The incumbent will close sales by building rapport with potential accounts; explaining product and service capabilities; overcoming objections and preparing contracts. The incumbent will call on customers and influence leaders to increase consumer demand for products. The incumbent will organize and conduct product training for customers and clients and assist in the development of selling skills and product knowledge and veterinary practice personnel. The incumbent will participate in educational opportunities and will represent the company at conventions and trade shows.

Qualifications include experience in growing and leading a team, track record of sales, cold calling and building a business, thorough understanding of the companion animal Veterinary industry, Veterinary clinic experience, background in Animal Science, a team player with an entrepreneurial drive, attitude of persistence and patience, self-starter with coaching, negotiation and presentation abilities, team player, ability to analyze financial information and manage a budget, computer competency, including a CRM software, creativity, enthusiasm and love for pets.
