Regional Sales Manager – NY, NJ, PA – Animal Health

Regional Sales Manager – NY, NJ, PA.  The Regional Sales Manager will manage the activities of the sales representatives within the region. The Regional Sales Manager will achieve maximum efficiency and sales results by providing direct coaching, monitoring and training and will implement sales and marketing programs.

The Regional Manager will maintain frequent contact and work directly with the sales team, averaging face to face contact 3 days a week.

The Regional Manager will identify needs and provide product and sales training to sales and will schedule and promote training opportunities.

The Regional Manager will monitor the sales team performance and will provide performance evaluations including verbally and in writing.

The Regional Manager will implement improvement plans for improving performance levels and will participate in the establishment of forecasting annual sales projections.

Qualifications include a degree in Business Management, Animal Health or related field, 5+ years of experience in animal health (preferred), 4+ years of sales management experience, experience with budgeting and P&L experience. The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced customer-service driven environment and have strong communication skills, organizational and time management skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors. Travel requirement is 60% but expected overnight travel is 30%.
