Fast-growing, veterinarian service organization that operates as a business partner to many veterinarian practices across the US is hiring for a Veterinary Regional Manager for a territory including New Hampshire, Massachusetts and upstate New York in the US. The incumbent’s ideal location is southern NH the position requires weekly travel.

Job Description:

The Veterinary Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing each practice and leading the hospitals across our network of veterinary hospitals in the growing region of the Northeast.

You will work with the Regional Director, the Vice President of Operations, the Veterinary Partner Doctors, and the Practice Managers to enhance performance at their respective hospitals. You will also work with the Internal Operations team to lead the implementation of initiatives and projects at the hospitals in your region.

The incoming Veterinary Regional Manager is expected to grow with your region as we continue to add partner hospitals to it.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for overseeing and leading the practice managers at each hospital.
  • Responsible for working directly with the practice managers on the operations at the hospital, including staffing, inventory, budgeting, employee and client scheduling, marketing, employee training, and Human Resources.
  • Act as a key resource and partner to the managing veterinarian at each location and responsible for building a strong relationship with that doctor. Also responsible for partnering with them on the work you are doing with the practice manager and incorporating their feedback and goals in your work with each practice.
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Operations to review the financial reports with the practice leadership team and develop strategies for each practice.
  • Responsible for reviewing the non-financial reports (inventory and scheduling budgets) and driving plans of improvement based on the results.
  • Responsible for the post-acquisition integration process for newly acquired clinics.
  • Expected to travel to the practices 4 days per week and have 1 office day (but could be at practices 5 days a week as needed).

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, team building, and leadership skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage time effectively.
  • 3+ years of experience managing multiple locations for a multi-site operator in the veterinary, dental, or medical industries.
  • Self-starter who is excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment and can take initiative.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience reviewing budgets and financial statements.
  • Proficient with the full suite of Microsoft Office products.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
  • Must live within or be willing to relocate to the your territory and be willing to travel. Company car is provided.
