Regulatory Scientist, Veterinary – Work Remote

Regulatory Scientist, Veterinary Medicine– (Remote position)We are seeking a full-time Regulatory Scientist. Our client provides services on the registration of animal health products, agrochemicals, biocides, industrial chemicals, veterinary pharmaceuticals, medical devices and biotechnological pharmaceuticals with both a US and international focus.

In this role the incumbent will perform regulatory consulting in the area of Veterinary Medicine for assigned projects by performing advanced writing for registration dossiers, publications and presentations, literature searches and reviews, data analysis and registration data gap analyses. In addition the incumbent will provide advice regarding, and review of study designs, registration strategies and will compile CMC, and/or Safety and Effectiveness sections, or other regulatory data packages for submission to FDA and other relevant authorities. The incumbent will develop technical documents on a variety of scientific and regulatory topics and serve as the go-to source of information regarding regulations and guidelines for clients and staff The incumbent will provide regular client communications and focus on client needs, identify project problems and corrective solutions and identify areas of strategic growth for the group. The incumbent will attend and participate in industry conferences, seminars and training events as required.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant regulatory experience; or Ph.D., DVM or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field, and a minimum of 2 years of relevant regulatory experience. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of FDA CVM safety and efficacy or CMC regulatory requirements for animal drugs. Knowledge of USDA or EPA regulations for animal products is a plus.

Thorough working knowledge of CMC requirements for animal drugs is required. Previous FDA CVM or consulting experience is preferred. Other requirements include excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, good working knowledge of common software and relevant databases, ability to learn and apply new software, ability and desire to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, ability to manage multiple and varied tasks, prioritize workload with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
