Veterinary Channel Business Development Manager
Veterinary Channel Business Development Manager. Our client is looking for a Veterinary Channel Business Development Manager to drive the company’s growth in this channel. The company has leading medical products in their category and is looking to achieve continued growth distribution and e-commerce. The incumbent will plan and direct field sales activities, develop strong relationships with key vet distribution partners, key veterinarians and with multi-clinic businesses, attend trade shows, recommend and implement B2B sales strategies. The incumbent should be a student of the industry and able to identify and react to key trends. This position may be worked remotely but central US location is preferable. Travel up to 50% is possible.
Qualifications include a Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing (MBA a plus); 8-10 years sales experience, 3-5 years account management experience in the veterinary channel (equine and large animal experience a plus), and successful track record of sales and launching new products and ability to work in a small company environment. We seek someone who is outgoing, a self-starter who needs little direction, is highly self-motivated, accountable and a team player, excellent interpersonal and communication skills including ability to communicate with people who have both sophisticated and unsophisticated financial acumen.
