Family-oriented veterinary practice on the east side of downtown Indianapolis is hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The practice has worked hard to expand the practice’s offering and improve the quality of care. This is a busy general veterinary practice with a progressive team. The caseload is varied and operates by appointment from 8:15 am to 5:45 pm Monday through Friday and 8:00 am to 11:30 am on Saturdays. The veterinarian will do one surgery day a week if interested. There are several local emergency clinics nearby, so the practice requires no after-hours or on call. The practice partners with nearby hospitals which allows for referrals for advanced diagnostic procedures and collaboration on complicated cases.
The practice went through a renovation in 2018 and added a sterile surgical suite with CO2 laser, treatment/prep area, dog ward with separate cat area with updated break and laundry room. There are plans to continue to update the building in the coming years. This practice practices best medicine utilizing full Abaxis in-house laboratory; Antech send-out Laboratory, Digital Radiography Ultrasound (with real-time training built-in) and fully stocked pharmacy. The practice has eVet cloud-based practice management and online pharmacy with Vets First Choice.
Our ideal candidate for this role is a self-motivated, energetic veterinarian with excellent communication skills who is committed to building lasting relationships with the community and the veterinary team. The practice’s goal is to provide consistent, high quality, progressive and individualized veterinary care for patients.
The practice offers flexible scheduling with alternating Saturdays to allow for work-life balance. Qualifications include an active Indiana State Veterinary License in good standing and basic surgical experience.
