The Senior Manager, Marketing and Portfolio will provide hands-on management of brand marketing and sales plans and assist in projects to achieve results. The incumbent will achieve optimal profit contribution for the brand line by managing the balance between volume, price, and marketing expenses. The incumbent will identify the right decision maker and develop customized programs with specific metrics, measure outcomes and develop contingency plans when needed. The incumbent will position and brand the company as trusted choice for veterinarians.  The incumbent will be involved in the assessment of new products and help to define their full potential by defining the proper segmentation and optimal value positioning to support the brand growth strategy.

The incumbent will be responsible for both existing products and new product launches and will monitor the competitive landscape and provide business updates and tactical recommendations to the commercial organization. The incumbent will utilize databases to evaluate product opportunities, will identify key trends and monitor the portfolio and the competitive landscape.

The incumbent will create and update sales and manufacturing forecasts for products within the portfolio and will gain insights into impacts to forecasts. Other responsibilities include working with Supply Chain to ensure capacity planning, assisting in product launch planning and pipeline management, identify new product opportunities by utilizing information and competitive intelligence gathered through databases, analyst reports and information provided by teams. The incumbent will determine the viability of new product opportunities, providing feedback to support product decisions The incumbent will evaluate the portfolio to identify areas of risk and opportunity and will maintain the database of all products within the portfolio.

The incumbent will update monthly market reports, generate product launch trackers, and update them monthly as well as conduct launch meetings with the sales team. The incumbent is responsible for initial product analysis and R&D budget cost of development for potential pipeline additions and is responsible for annual pipeline review and five-year projections.  The incumbent is the key point of contact regarding the pipeline for future products and will identify and request for new product additions.

Qualifications include strong analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills, ability to manage and drive complex analytics, and be able to manipulate large amounts of data. Other qualifications include understanding of relevant accounting principles and their implications on Gross to Net calculations and reporting. Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment is required as well as the ability to prioritize and work well in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be analytical with a keen attention to detail, be able to resolve complex issues and have strong communication skills. This is a fast-paced environment, and the incumbent will have minimal supervision so being able to thrive in this type of environment is critical. We are looking for someone with a quantitative mindset. Bachelor of Science with emphasis in sales and marketing, business or business development is ideal, and an advanced degree is a plus. 3+ years of marketing experience is required, and Animal Health industry experience is strongly preferred. There will be limited travel in this position.
