Senior Manager / Associate Director – Cattle Marketing

This position can be field based.  The incumbent will develop and execute marketing initiatives for the Cattle portfolio and will be accountable for achieving the quarterly and yearly P&L operation plan for US Cattle and developing and leading the Lifecycle Strategy.

The incumbent will develop, implement and measure marketing initiatives which support the immediate and long term growth of the brands. The incumbent will develop sales and operating budgets, manage and operate within approved financial parameters to enhance profitability, will participate in the ongoing, planning, market development and product forecasting for assets within the portfolio and any new assets forthcoming. The incumbent will actively work with multiple internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive strong market growth. The incumbent will provide timely marketing materials and programs to the sales force and channel partners in support of demand creation efforts. The incumbent will be responsive in managing all communications with customers. The incumbent will monitor and gather key customer insights, and competitive activities and market insights to incorporate into effective marketing strategies and will manage and maintain ongoing relationships with market research, advertising agency and external vendors to ensure that key customer insights are incorporated into effective marketing strategies. The incumbent will be a leader within Cattle and Equine marketing and will communicate the importance of conducting business in a manner consistent with the core values of the organization.

Qualifications-3-5+ years of marketing leadership or related experience with demonstrable success.  Animal health, livestock marketing experience is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business or relevant major is required and an MBA is preferred. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of science-based marketing and the marketing process with proven ability to develop and deliver best in class integrated and marketing plans and programs to address a dynamic market. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading or influencing a team from a key role in a strategic business initiative. The successful candidate will need to have strong written and verbal communication, project management and computer software skills among standard company programs. Other qualifications include strong financial analysis skills and proven ability to manage budgets and expenses, a strong business acumen, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills with attention to detail. The successful candidate will need to have proven ability in handling and effectively prioritizing multiple projects while maintaining a positive attitude, extensive knowledge of the organization, products and the Animal Health Industry. Strong computer skills and ability to travel is required.
