Recruiting Manager

We are seeking a highly engaged, organized, and personable recruiting manager to join our recruitment team. In this role, you will drive and direct recruitment efforts and processes and train and manage our recruitment team. You will be responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness in the operations of our organization and serve as a valuable brand ambassador. This role will have some business development responsibility as well as building and maintaining client relationships.

Recruiting Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive and direct the organization’s recruitment efforts and processes
Updating current and designing new recruiting procedures
Supervise the recruiting team and reporting on its performance
Keeping track of recruiting metrics (e.g. time-to-fill and cost-to-fill)
Update current and design new recruiting procedures (e.g. job application and onboarding processes)
Implement new sourcing methods (e.g. social recruiting and Boolean searches)
Review recruitment software and suggest the best option for company needs
Research and choose job advertising options
Recommend ways to improve our employer brand
Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable laws and company policies
Coordinate with the firm’s owners to forecast future organizational needs
Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and leadership about changes in regulations
Participate in job fairs and career events
Build the company’s professional network through relationships with hiring mangers, HR professionals, internal recruiters, colleges and other business partners
Implement strategic hiring procedures and improve upon recruitment measures
Work with the CEO and COO to confirm our client’s hiring needs and requirements
Direct and oversee the hiring of additional recruiters
Supervise the quality of work, productivity and effectiveness of the firm’s Recruiters
Create and suggest new and effective procedures and techniques
Ensure current staff numbers are sufficient and appropriately distributed
Engage in effective recruitment methods to determine useful applicant markets
Directly interact with job candidates and respond to initial queries
Directly interact with existing and prospective clients
Process and track applicant job submissions
Demonstrate the ability to articulate both positive and negative feedback to ALL candidates in a professional manner. Demonstrate the ability to calmly address candidate or client challenges.
Manage recruitment databases
Source, qualify, and present a solid, diverse slate of candidates for every open position
On-going quality assessment of processes, procedures and performance
Business Development and marketing to secure new clients
Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews
Refer qualified and selected applicants
Conduct and request required tests needed for hire (proficiency, background, drug, etc.)
Manage recruitment efforts and advertising budgets
Set clear goals and benchmarks for recruitment team
Train and supervise recruiters in correct company processes and best practices
Ensure all new employee onboarding processes are in line with The Pursell Group policies and procedures.
Encourage open lines of communication between yourself and recruiting team
Conduct frequent performance reviews for recruiters
Document and present detailed progress reports of recruiting campaigns
Attend recruiting fairs and tradeshows to find prospective clients and candidates
Demonstrate to candidates and clients a positive reflection or our brand and company
Adherence to employment laws and best practices as well as company policy and procedures
Maximize use of available technology to ensure optimum, cost-effective, timely and high-quality results.

Recruiting Manager Requirements and Qualifications

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of proven experience for a recruiting or staffing agency
Proven work experience as a Recruiting Manager or Supervisor for a recruiting firm or staffing agency
Familiarity with HR practices
Understanding of employment law and best practices
Experience with (phone and in-person) interviews, candidate screening and evaluation
Familiarity with social media and other professional networks (like LinkedIn)
Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills
Strong decision-making skills
Attend periodic training sessions to maintain and develop skills
Strong customer service attitude and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional work ethic and high integrity
Consistently meets deadlines
Thrives under pressure
Comfortable with some overnight travel
Respectful
Managerial and leadership experience
Proven ability to effectively build business relationships with clients, candidates, colleges/universities or other business partners
