Professional Service Veterinarian – Florida

Professional Services Veterinarian Florida.  We have a position open for a Professional Services Veterinarian to be based in Florida in any major city, near a major airport. In this role, the Professional Services Veterinarian will travel in the field with sales representatives or other company employees. The veterinarian will assist sales reps in the sales of company products through on-site travel as well as training, teaching and coaching.

The Professional Services Veterinarian will provide direct support to veterinarians, veterinary practices and staff, veterinary colleges and research veterinarians utilizing the company products. The veterinarian will provide seminars to individual veterinary practices regarding utilization of products. The veterinarian will provide seminars for local, regional and national meetings and Veterinary Medical Associations. The veterinarian will provide support to sales and marketing at veterinary conventions and trade shows. The veterinarian will provide materials to support the Director and others including marketing for materials, programs, and training and development. The veterinarian will work with sales managers and will provide training to veterinary colleges and universities. The veterinarian will provide training and seminars at meetings and events. The veterinarian will provide weekly reports to the Director and Sales Managers to identify areas of improvement. This role requires extensive travel for meetings as well as sales meetings and the corporate office. The successful candidate will be required to pass a background check including driving records.

Qualifications include veterinary clinical skills, including experience in clinical medicine and surgery to be able to have first hand knowledge of the appropriate benefits and advantages of the product line. The ability to clearly present information is required. General Veterinary Practice experience is required as well as knowledge of the business aspects of veterinary practice for an understanding of the operation and ability to assist the customer base sand sales team in utilization and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will need to have active listening skills and the ability to give attention to what people are saying, taking time to understand, ask questions and not interrupt the person talking. The incumbent will need to have math ability as well as reasoning ability. Computer and equipment skills are required and knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, Outlook and Web Mail. Understanding of private practice and ability to provide financial analysis is needed. Presentation skills are required including the knowledge of media production, communication and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes written, oral and visual media. Presentation skills are used extensively. This role requires travel by car or plan and the travel can be for extended periods of time. Trade shows require long periods of working while standing. This role requires an understanding of the veterinary market and ability to evaluate client’s financial and clinical needs. This role requires teaching skills, problem solving skills, planning and organizational skills, adaptability, attendance and punctuality, mental toughness and ethics. A DVM/VMD of equivalent degree is required along with 3 years in a veterinary clinic. This role requires eligibility to work in the United States.
